Frame Maintenance
At H.H. Racing Group, we strive to achieve the balance between maximum performance and minimal weight. With all the positive customer comments noting the quality construction and ride comfort, we must be successful. To maintain that quality of ride, we suggest the following care instructions for all bicycle frames.
- A regular maintenance program; inspecting the frame and parts for fatigue, excessive, and/or abnormal wear.
- Checking frame alignment after a crash, looking for sharp dents, cracks, and/or rippling of the tubes.
- On bonded frames, inspecting glue joints for separations, cracks, or galvanic corrosion.
- No frame modifications or using ‘add-on’ accessories that would cause frame failure.
- Use the bicycle for its intended purpose only. (i.e. no road bikes for a mountain down hill)
Finish Maintenance
We use four finishes on our products: powder coat, base coat/clear coat, bead blast, and brushed. Each finish has its own instructions to keep the finish looking brand new. Her are a few suggestions.
- Powder Coat: With a soft cotton cloth, use a degreaser to remove grease, road tar, and smudges. Polish with a non-abrasive, non-cleaner wax.
- Base Coat/Clear Coat: With a soft cotton cloth, use a degreaser to remove grease, road tar, and smudges. Polish with a mild cleaner wax. Do not use any solvents on the finish.
- Bead Blast: With a soft cotton cloth, use a degreaser to remove grease, road tar, and smudges. Coat the frame with Voodew Oil and wipe off the excess.
- Brushed: With a soft cotton cloth, use a degreaser to remove grease, road tar, and smudges. Polish with a non-abrasive, non-cleaner wax.
- Bonded Frames: With a soft cotton cloth, clean the frame with a citrus solvent. Polish with a non-abrasive, non-cleaner wax.
Warranty
H.H. Racing Group has been building custom bicycle frame since 1976. Without sparing cost or time, we source materials only from the finest manufacturers. With this in mind, our warranty is simple.
Upon the return and inspection of the frame and fork, we will repair or replace at our discretion, any failures due to defects in our workmanship for the life of the frame. This warranty excludes abuse, crashes, material fatigue, and problems due to the lack of maintenance. After completion of the repair or replacement, we will cover the cost of return shipment but not the cost of the removal and /or installation of parts.
